I want your opinions on whether or not you think ds gaming is dead
i personally feel it is iv looked at the next few months worth of releases and i must say there is nothing to look forward to.
In the next year all there seems to be is pokemon, golden sun and kingdom hearts

Just because there is nothing YOU want, doesn't mean DS gaming is dead, it just means YOU don't have anything on the horizon.

Granted, we all know 75% of anything released over this christmas season will likely be no better than the 75% of the stuff released all through this year.

The Nintendo DS seems to specialize in flaky titles. If you get 2 good games in a year, consider yourself lucky and stop whining.

Panzer has a point.

The DS may appear dead to you, but not for everyone else.

Stick around, I'm sure there are some great titles on the way.

This thread should be closed on principle alone. If I could report you for bad taste, I would.

Seriously, though, it feels like a trolling thread to me. If it isn't, then the TC must have a deluxe apartment under a rock in some isolated part of Antarctica.

This is one reason I rarely post on the forums anymore- topics like this. *facedesk*

- Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
- Scribblenauts
- Phantasy Star 0
- Nostalgia (RPG like Final Fantasy)
- Final Fantasy Gaiden
- Golden Sun DS
- Mario & Luigi 3
- Wizard of Oz Beyond the Yellow Brick Road
- Sands of Destruction
- Ninokuni (absolutely epic looking RPG)
- Dragon Quest 9
- Dragon Qauest 6
- Megaman.exe Operation Shooting Star
- Pokemon HG/SS
- Summon Night X
- Element Hunters
- Kaiju Busters
- Zelda Spirit Tracks
- Dementium 2
- Maximilian (platformer from the makers of Dementium)
- SaGa 2
- Fantasy Life
- Blue Dragon Behemoth of the Underworld
- Cross Treasures
- DBZ Attack of the Saiyans
- Go Go Cosmo Corps (platformy/puzzlish)

Tokyo Game Show is next month as well. No telling what will be announced then. It's always a big event.

+1.

The thread sounds like something a PSP fanboy would right. You (the thread author) obviously haven't played the DS enough to realize it's not dead.

Big releases this year alone include:

- Modern Warfare: Mobilized
- Beyond the Yellow Brick Road
- Scribblenauts (probably the biggest DS game of the year)
- Nostalgia
- Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
- Phantasy Star 0
- SW Battlefront: Elite Squadron
- WireWay (there's been some media hype over it)
- ASH (english release)
- Dragon Quest IX (english release)
- DS Air (it has a 2009 release, but probably will be pushed back)

Is that enough?

Its far from being dead. Im looking forward to the day that new phantasy star 0 players join in with the online community.

personally i looking foward to 20th october, because on that day marvel hero squad will be released, maybe an alternative to JUS...and if that game is nearly awesome like JUS, then there is a reason for me to turn on my wifi again...

Not even fucking close to being dead. The PSP was dead a long time ago, the DS is going strong and will probably still produce a plethora of great games before it's end. I don't think the DS will outlive the Gameboy line which was something like 10 years before the GBA came out and truly overhauled everything to the point where a new system was required. But seeing as how we are pushing like 4 years already since the initial launch of the DS, the fact that we still have a whole slew of great titles to look forward too in the future is great. I mean, who can turn down Golden Sun DS unless they are honestly retarded.

My assumption is that the TC had just recently decided to play his DS, took a stroll to a rom site and just could not find The world ends with you 2. I think he favors RPG.

I myself still have lotsa releases to catch up on..

Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing the English version of Infinite Space released, along with finding out if C.O.P. The Recruit is any good. Plus, there's NFS: Nitro which claims to be a different style to the others

There are great games coming out and many gems from before. I don't think DS gaming is dead, there may be a lot of shovelware, but on the plus side there is always some game(s) I want to play.

Wow. That is a bit stupid.
I think DS is alive as always. I think, the one console havin BIG problems is Wii right now =(

It's funny how everyone agrees (including me) that the DS gaming is not "dead" and yet there are 8 people who voted for "yes"...
some PSP funboys I presume...?
