Hacking DS Emulator

Wii speak or USB Mic can always be used to emulate the mic feature for any DS games. What I want to know is, will the emulator (If real) be able to support wifi, considering how the Wii already has it?

Honestly even a button that simulates the speaking/blowing thing in DS games would work just fine and the same with closing the DS for the Zelda game.

If this is real, it's impressive. The speed even seems decent for an early version. I guess there's no sound though.

They'll also have to contend with games that require both screens for action, such as Sonic Rush, Yoshi's Island DS, and Dragon Quest 4/5.

I'm not sure how plausible this is, but maybe an option to tilt a widescreen TV in portrait mode and stretch both screens vertically. I'll admit I have NO clue how this is done, and it might be impossible to do with the Wii's hardware. So sorry if it's a bogus idea. At any rate, it would seem a plethora of screen orientation options would be nice. The way FFCC Echoes did would be nice- side by side with an option to resize it on the fly. Or when the bottom or top screen aren't even needed, have an option to disable it with a simple button press.

Still taking this with a grain of salt. Could be completely fake. Who knows?

It looks real to me.
I hope it's real

looks real enough to me.

i cant see another way of getting a DS to play on a TV screen...

i think the screens should be placed still above and below one another, like original DS'.

but i do like what granville said, about the resizing i mean. hate the side by side thing though

however an option to have them either way, one screen disabled.

USB microphone/ Wii speak implementation, Wi-Fi compatibility (though that might require a DS ROM mod since they may not use the same wi-fi chip or something (if ya get me) i dont know.)

but yeah, this concept is amazing

could even use the save files you get from R4DS or any other flash card!

wonder how long it'll take to get working if it already works at this speed

While I'm not going to say whether or not I think it's real, it's definitely cool and gets us all thinking about how to make one (better) in the future.

God damn you people are gullible. First a fake USB loader now you believe that this is real.

btw good day for pirates

well, april fools have started earlier this year, I already know a few websites that already have started the traditional "omg, let's make fun with our vistors" party
anyway, every year it's the same pathetic flow of bad jokes/ fake anouncements so be prepared

we will see, but what is sure is that linkinworm never coded or ported an emulator, he's only a betatester

by the way, to achieve full speed NDS emulation on Wii (as the video shows you), you would need MUCH more than a simple No$gba/dsEMU/whatever port, so there are VERY tiny chances to get this coming from nowhere

PC-based DS emulator connected to TV? I'm not saying that's what it is, I'm just making you aware of alternative explanations. Kudos to the developer if it is real, though. I assume linkinworm only created the video rather than the emulator itself.

It's a video of Linkinworm playing a DS emulator on a Wii correct...........this does not mean he made it.

i'm also not surprised that he hasn't posted on here about it...........I have seen him in the thread before just looking (and probably laughing) but if this is a real emu then WOWZERS PENNY.

also maybe they did hack Final Fantasy to loada different rom........its been done before on GC

yeah but i mean, any ds emulator i've used on pc has always showed both screens. and you dont see a flicker on his tv screen when he starts playing (thatd be the input changing) lol

i realise that linkn worm will probs be a tester. lucky boy

has there been any more news about this, or any other ds emulator for the wii, any time after april first?

yeh im not believing this as when he starts up the HBC you can see a mouse in the right side of the screen so i just think hes used his tv as pc screen which is really simple then just used and pc ds emulator

but if its real then wow kwl
