Secondly, the added benefit of two touch screens is negligible. Most games have a screen swap button giving it basically the same functionality as having two touch screens.

I'd have to disagree. Right now there are two types of DS games. Ones that have two unrelated screens and use one for touch (like Phantom Hourglass and New Super Mario) and games without touch where your character can run around both screens (like Sonic Rush and Contra 4). Two touch screens would allow developers to use both screens for full character movement and still use touch. That would open up a lot of possibilities.

But there is no way Nintendo is releasing a new handheld anytime soon. The DS is doing way too well.
