Hacking DS Browser on R4

I don't know a lot about the hacking of the nintendo DS but on my R4 it says it supports the DS browser.
However I think I need a EZ 3-in-1 or something to actually use it.
Can someone please correct me if I'm wrong?

You need slot2 ram pak
(include 3in1/other slot2 that have ram)

or you could use ds hobro or any other homebrew ds broweser

would the slot 2 ram expansion from the m3 work with the ram for the browser?

Yes, but you'll have to patch the browser's rom for it to work.
