Hey you are the dude with the broken top screen right?
My brother recently programmed a videoplayer for the DS. Not the best quaility. Not the lowest filesize. But in homebrew(when programming) you can shift the screen with one single function ^^
So if your interested in a WORKING videoplayer for the bottomscreen but do not care much about semi-long conversiontimes, not psyko quality and low filesize then ill ask him if he can compile a .nds for you

The ancient Moonshell 1 series (1.71) can play video on the lower screen too; press Select to switch between them.

Oi! I dont remember if 1.71 could play the newest DPG's. But! Just before you panick when the vidoes wont play, check beforehand what version of DPG that 1.71 supports

SwapTopBottomDisplay=0

I had a look, and it swapped everything on the screens apart from the video...

You are right, bug perhaps.
I wouldn't have thought so, the description in the .ini didn't suggest that the video would have the screens swapped; it might've been underneath the "Video" section otherwise.
