I'm being extremely stupid here, but...
It seems to me that, by the look of that picture, you can play this without guitar grip.
But the drum skin is just a skin, right? Couldn't you play this using just the buttons?
sure, but you'd miss out on half the game.
Considering that you'd be missing out on the fan requests as well. The only way you can unlock them is when you connect to the Wii version of Band Hero and obtain them in career, and since I can't do that with this version, I'll wait for the US one.

After trying it out, I'd even dare say this is the best Guitar Hero game on the DS (from the technical side, not from the pretty meh playlist side). More instruments, sound quality is improved, you can create you entire band, drums play just fine (even without the drum skin)...

The only downside I've noticed so far is the vocal side. While it is great to take functionality of the DS microphone, I found the game to be pretty unresponsive unless your face is all up in the DS (or you scream from the top of your lungs

) which makes the lyrics and the little marker thing really hard to see.

Whoever liked previous On Tour games should love this one.

You can set your microphone sensitivity to high and that should work well IMO.

Hey it doesn't save! I've tried all da types but still doesn't work!

Saves fine on my M3 Simply. Don't know which card you have, but maybe you should try updating the firmware or something.

I've an old card, the ds linker.
That always saves fine, i don't understand
Is it automatic save in the game?

Yeah, whenever you play a song, it marks your score, ranking (in stars), awards and stuff you unlocked, all in the auto-save. I played the game several times and saving seems to be working just fine.

Can you choose save types on your card? Like flash 4 Mb, eeprom 4kb.... ?

If yes can you tell me on what mode you are?

Not really. M3 Simply is just an R4 clone. An outdated one, even. =/

So, I think I can't be helped

Where can I find the save type of this game? That's ont on gbatemp (unknown)
Please help mee!

I actually really like this. Probably more than Guitar Hero I'd have to admit.

The song set has better songs IMO (because I know more of them) and the mechanics seem to be more clean (i.e. using L and R instead of blowing into mic/pressing B). Also, the use of the drums is a really nice addition. And I don't even have to buy a peripheral for it! The peripheral probably doesn't make much of a difference anyway...Just easier to press the buttons because of larger area. The singing doesn't really...um appeal to me because I don't think it can actually gauge your pitch, more like your volume.

But overall, I think this is a very nice addition to the Hero games. This > Lego Rock Band.

Has anyone got a button hack yet? its really annoying switching between LRB and BH drums.
