DS #2228: Plushees (USA)

I haven't tried this game, but the trailer looks like they put a fair amount of effort into it, and that small children will enjoy it. While it doesn't appeal to everyone, it might just make people interested in getting a nintendo DS. Which means more money for developers and nintendo, and hence more people interesting in developing. It might just encourage more shovelwear, but hey it might also encourage some one to make that golden game that is just brilliant. I think the same can be said about all games really. Apart from those in that "Popcorn arcade" that are just cheap and nasty and exactly the same game with different textures/characters.

I was complaining that there aren't many games lately on the ds that are worth buying (or playing, for that matter).

I hear ya'.

But like Little suggested, there seems to be a fair amount of effort put into this game, and for a really young kid, I think there's some value here. But you really have to keep in mind, we here on GBATemp have the luxury of seeing (and many of us have the further luxury of trying) any and every game that gets released. So, we're exposed to it all. Now, if you and I were merely shopping for a great DS game, there's more to choose from than I know I could possibly afford. Coming here each day and viewing the games list, the system might appear to be a wasteland of shovelware, but if I had to pay for every game on the DS I thought was great, I'd be living out of a box right now (and yes, that's hyperbole).

Anyway, this particular game doesn't seem to be a rip-off, with respect to who its intended audience is.

oh for sure irpacynot. If you buy a game, you're more willing to give it a go, more open to liking it. You'd think it'd be the other around, you've think oh i paid for this I want it to be good.... but you get spoilt basically. Like a little spoilt kid who can have everything and anything they want. Suddenly the 20 white ponies and tropical island arent enough.
