hold up dreamcast pc emu is not mediocre. In fact in many ways it is superior. From res to fan made patches to controls. I would revisit this repeatingdigits I know I was very happy.

in terms of wiiu gosh I will hold my breath but I would love to see it happen. The dreamcast emu on xbox360 actually worked quite well!

last I checked most wince games don't run and even some non-wince games are not emulated properly (Eve Zero and Eldorado Gate 4~7 come to mind)

I agree on just buying a dreamcast. Relatively cheap (20$) anything over 20$ unless mint CIB isn't worth it. And just buy a 50x pack of verbatim and bam. Burn and play so why not play on official hardware when it doesn't have disk drm as far as I can remember.

or you can run GD images with a cheap SD mod. Some burnt games require 99min CDR which is very rare these days.
You can even replace the GD drive with an emulator board but that is only for hardcore gamers - expensive hardware.

I too was wondering about the dreamcast for the wiiU as currently there is a pspemulator port running on wiiU with some games almost perfect but a lot or currently not compatible dont know why but i seem to think the sega saturn and dreamcast should have gotten a working emulator before the psp on a wiiU

Actually I wish I could buy a dreamcast again. I sold mine back in the days to buy a PS2. Dreamcast is among the rarest consoles ever that can be found.

psp is much simpler emulator and much less required cpu, saturn requires a very beefy pc to evevn emulate and dreamcast would never be full speed on wiiu either, its much stronger than psp.
