Dreamcast = Best Console Ever?

Okay, so I want to know what everyone else out there thinks. Do you like the Dreamcast? Do you hate it? Do you even know what it is?

In my case, I love playing Wind & Water: Puzzle Battles, Triggerheart Exelica, Ikaruga, Karous, Radio Allergy/Radirgy, Chaos Field, Evolution, Sonic Adventure, and so many more that I just feel too lazy to finish the list X3

Best Dreamcast game (and IMO best of all time

): Shenmue I+II

I voted for "It does have some really good games...", because I can`t consider the DC to be the greatest gaming console of all time because there were so many great systems! But it is most definitely a rather good one and as far as I know it was the savior for SEGA after they nearly fall into damnation because of the Saturn.

So here`s to the Dreamcast

BTW I love the DC-controller, even though it is as big as the console itself

No the console wasn't the best ever. But it's games had a distinctive arcade style and at that time, were awesome. Sometimes SEGA can put out a very fresh polished game like JSR, and the Dreamcast had many of these. I tried Project Rub for the DS, and it just has that something in that same style.

It was a great console, and i'm glad that i own one, but the library of games is woeful. It has some classics but far too few to be considered the best console ever.

PS3 is currently my second, first for media. Give me a few more REALLY good games and It'll be better in my book.

The independent scene is still thriving though. The console is dead but it's spirit lives on, even today

They still have some awesomeness today, call me old-fashioned. I do enjoy my VGA box and it at least makes the system still feel modern on my fancy-shmancy TV. Although, honestly, if I made an arcade cabinet I would DEFINITELY make the Dreamcast the core system XD
Fun fact: Dreamcast and Xbox 360 are the only two consoles that natively support VGA.

Not a xbox fanboy but I just don't like ps2 or ps3's that much.

I have a dreamcast but it paled in comparison to my 64 or SNES.

Not sure if I would say it's the best console ever but it was certainly an exceptional product. I love mine dearly. It was sad to see it discontinued but I'm glad Sega's final console was truly a great piece of hardware.

It's not my favorite console ever, but it does have a lot of great games. On top of that the homebrew scene for it is still active today. Some of my favorites are Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Crazy Taxi, Power Stone 1 and 2, Shenmue, and Border Down.
