I looked at a guy's 1.01 save. All seems to be in order, but haven't checked Allies. 255~255 Attack should work. I need to confirm the Defense cap - I think it's 60. I changed max Durability to 4500 - that sucks, unless we use that secret trick, hehe.

Didnt check attack but from other board seems its been capped too.
Will test out later this evening. I'll give det cap a try as well.

I used that trick & seems to be working. Hope we talking the same trick hahaha

How can I use the sorcerer superset if my character 1 is a Fighter? Is there a way to make my Sorcerer character 1? Also, it seems the cheats were not working anymore after patch.

If u want to use the sorcerer super set then save ur current data file to data2 and delet ur data 1 and start over.
Then choose sorcerer as 1st charater. Because I dont think u can alter charater locations.
Also superset might not work as well after the patch, since they capped some of the stats.

We currently have crew here working on new custom save patch, should be out briefely.

FYI, the affixes for weapons and equipments are interchangeable but have to consider the type of affix it is. For instance, barefisted dmg increase on a weapon doesn't work if you're going to be throwing the weapon away (power smash). Anyway, I'm working on tested percentage codes on the items. Can't do a testing with just character 1 so I working on applying it to several characters at a time and testing noted percentages in batches. Physically testing on monsters may be a different story.

In regards to the new update caps... yes, like Jaden said. Anything higher than 4500 will be brought down to 4500. Also, restock amounts for items seem to have also been reduced to normal amounts or cap for a particular item. Gonna need to do trials with these now. It may just come down to using on specific codes with the higher uses instead of using a broader selection.

Can we request here? I think it's ok that the durabiliy left at 4500. But, by adding reduced item degradation to 100% will not degraded the item at all. I have a sword that I used the tweaked skills that has it and my sword never degraded even a lot of chain runs. Also, it would be nice to have all 5 equipments per class to have supersets in any character slot. :)

Hello guys,

Save Patches
I uploaded an unofficial save patch for v1.01 . Try it out. Without access to the new patch, I must rely on you. Report specific malfunctioning code.

Save Editor
I wouldn't update #1 for every few percent of progress, but it is well underway. I will have screenshots or a temporary Youtube video over the weekend to demonstrate.
There's still the issue with finding affix values. Because each affix has a minimum and maximum, the resulting bytes to get 100% or whatever, are different.
A hypothesis I have is all their zero values are the same. If anyone can confirm that with me, I can solve the algorithm faster. It's important that the user is editing percentages and real numbers instead of looking at 003E 4386 in the editor. The point of this is to let the user use any affix without worrying about indexes and values.

Some more points about the save editor:
  • Editing potions, spell books, rings, and scrolls may definitely be left for the beta if research does not arrive.
  • I decided to make the alpha public due to the enthusiasm of 8000+ guests and members who've found this thread. It's no longer restricted to just the people who contributed. Anyone can redistribute the app and try it, and then make fun of my mistakes.
  • The alpha's release date will be pushed forward to the weekend before Diablo 3 (PS3) comes out, and a new project begins. Development still continues towards the final, though.

It's okay to request. It would help if you make a list describing these supersets. Meanwhile, I could make a save patch with what I imagine these supersets should include until you come back.
The problem with all this is, there's no predicting what order of characters that you or others have. That may require you to painstakingly move the addresses in the save patch, which is counter-intuitive.

What says you can't try? Though the custom save patch is limited to a couple of characters, the new patch hasn't changed affixes and their values.

I keep getting missing edits: I would add an 8th affix for a weapon that started with 7, but the new one won't show.

It worked. I can still use the weapon editor even with the patch. However, I have observed that I can only add a number of skills in an item depending on the preset number of skills the item has originally.

For example, when my item has 2 skills.. I can only add 2 skills that I like. I hope we can add 8 skills to every item. That would be awesome.

Also, the new v1.01 patch, does not change my attack and defense. It still stays the same..

In any case, thank you so much for giving some time into this. :)

I understand you. We've been brooding over it since whenever. I'm looking into it once I get home. This issue could make the editor useless if equipment won't allow you to edit all skill slots.

Tested the Defense and doesn't overwrite in game value. I doubt they change the location unless they changes position of the value cap.

E.g on accessory equip there are 2 location for the stats affix; 0121 is Str+ and 0128 also Str+ however, 0128 makes cap at 20 while 0128 can go beyond 9999. So there might be a second location of the equip def which allows you go higher...
just a theory hah.

Mark, regarding number of skills you can use the below for making your weapon 8 slots. Still working on to get armor to do the same.
