Gaming Dragon Quest XI - Switch or PC?

Havent played Dragon Quest XI, yet and i cant decide wether i should wait for the Switch-version, which has more features, or the PC version which would run better and at a higher resolution.

From what i recall the Switch-version will have a different Soundtrack, different rideable animals, you can increase game-speed and have your companions walk behind you, 2D mode, japanese speech and lots of minor QOL improvements.

Which version would people here go for?

If you like to play in 4K, needs super stable frame rate, have a beast PC, go with the Steam Version.

I bought it on PS4 and steam and also bought the switch version. I am thinking of buying the original Japanese PS4 version as well because I bought the 3ds a month ago to do the spell that cross the save file between them. Should I buy the original Japanese PS4 version or not?

For your first version I will say buy the switch version and then buy others later.

It is better than ni no kuni 1 and final fantasy X and most tales of games.

I believe the "definitive edition" is the switch one. I think it even says that for the title name on the switch. however, it probably runs better on pc. I think you get a few bonuses on the pc in terms of dlc items. I'm not sure if that exists on the switch version. afaik, many of them (if not all) are stat-increasing items, which can probably find in game anyway. if you have a strong enough pc, try it. I actually bought the pc version, and runs horribly on my system, so maybe download the cracked version first, just to see how well it runs. you can compare that to the demo. with it being so close to being released, it might be prudent to buy the switch version. when I bought the pc one, there wasn't even a release date for the switch version, but I really wanted to play the game.

deff switch it has so many extras added in. and these will not be available on the other versions. who gives a fuck about 4k

Yes and you can use a spell to cross save file to the PS4 version so I might buy it to try that.

Just install the music mod that makes it not garbage, i.e the ear raping synth version. Orchestra Mods help.

Yes, it is so sad but it has Pokémon games, dragon quest 7&8, shin Megami tensi and many more hopefully won't be re released in the future.

The promise of extra content won me over.
They purposefully had some "???" parts in the description of the added content for the Switch-version.
I hope what @Reploid mentioned will be a part of that as well.

Buy it digitally, download it today and play it on 27/9. I can't wait it will unlock at 7 pm in my time.
