ROM Hack Dragon Quest IX AR code not working

I'm trying to use the AR code that closes blue treasure chests in grottos when leaving the floor/checking the battle records. However, the chests never close. I am using this code on a European version of the game (game ID: YDQP 31F74CBE):

I tried googling this problem, as well as turning off all other codes to see if any of them interfered with this code. Unfortunately, that didn't solve the problem.

Could someone help me make this code work? Much appreciated!

Also, is it possible to change my save file in such a way that I can use it on an American version of the game?

what you have is the chest codes for the US version of the game that's why it does not work on your game
any ways these are the only treasure chest code i can find for your game's id
