ROM Hack Dragon Quest 7 EUR to US?

Is it possible to convert a EUR save into a US save? I got a EUR copy of the game a few days early and finished the second island. I'm buying a copy of the game tomorrow, but don't want to start all over again. Can I just extract the save of my EUR copy, buy US copy, import EUR save into US save?

It's definitely worth a try, I see no problems if it doesn't work.

I'll try swapping the save from my physical USA cart to a digital JP download and see what happens. It might be a while, though, my internet is acting up today.

JP version throws what appears to be a "corrupted save" error and kills the save when imported through JKSM or SVDT.

I was able to import US Save in EUR and vice versa. No problems here. So US and EU are compatible.
