The latest portable entry in the Dragon Ball series will be heading west for 3DS on December 13 for North America, and sometime 2017 for Europe according to Bandai Namco. In Dragon Ball fusions, you venture throughout the world of DBZ and can create a custom character to play as. The goal of the game is to fuse classic characters from the franchise, in order to fight powerful foes.

You know, I've never played a DBZ game before but this has piqued my interest

Play Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans which is available for the DS. If you're into RPG then you'll love this.

Bandai could've done the following sequels, i.e.:
- Attack of Freeza (or Attack in Namek)
- Attack of the Androids
- Attack of Majin Boo

Damn Bandai Namco for always sticking to fighting games as if there aren't enough of them anyway.

EDIT: Dragon Ball: Tap Battle for the Androids and iOS (I think) is a pretty good game for the fans to play on the go. Since it's not available on the European Play Store I downloaded the Japanese apk and got to play it, even though I can't read Japanese. But who cares, choose the character, tap tap tap and win!

I was just saying it looks like a combination of the two games, Besides the endless combinations of fusion and races, what exactly is the plot here if the central focus is fusion? It has to be some AU Crud.

Wasn't looking to start anything, just wasn't quite sure from how you worded it. I agree it does sorta seem that way which to me personally doesn't seem like a bad thing. Tbh even if the story isn't the greatest thing ever, if the gameplay holds up then it'll be fine I think.

I wonder how long the Dragon Ball franchise will be milked. It's insane how this is still going on. Nobody complains as if each game is unique but it's just the same fighting games with a different gimmick.

I quite enjoyed Legacy of Goku on GBA for being so outlandish.

they aren't children, they are just chibi cuz making all the characters mostly the same sizee makes it easier to combine them. you dont have to add extra detail on might expect in a 'Xenoverse'

though, if this game picks up nough i hope they take the hint and add it to the next xenoverse or (highly unluckly but) Xenoverse 2 DLC

I guess it's because chibi characters models are easier to make and for the 3ds to handle them in game. Imagine if there were full models of the characters, the game's frame rate would drop just like the pokemon games or even worse.

Plus it's the art style choosen for the game.

Have you checked it out? The first two seasons are terrible, the third one is watchable and after watching over 30 episodes I gave up on it. I shouldn't have to watch more to know that it's good, a good show shows that it is within the first or its following episodes.

Of course, it's my opinion so you may enjoy it.

I'll probably get this when it's cheaper. I'm still hoping for a side scroller like Dragon Ball Advance Adventure or an RPG like Buu's Fury. Those were easily my favorite Dragon Ball games.

I hate DBZ games and I hate fighting games and I can't believe it but this game is AMAZING, it feels more like a bad ass Pokemon game
with actual fighting and strategy that it's fun! I liked it so much that I was translating this but I'm glad is coming over.

that's because they haven't been funimationed. when/if they are translated with the original cast from KAI it will be MUCH better.

It doesn't matter. The animation and amount of episodes compared to BoG and RF it pales in comparison.
