Homebrew Downloaded game save file to legit game

Hi, I'm wondering if I can transfer a save file from a game that I downloaded on Freeshop to a bought game; I will download Ultra Sun because I can't afford right now but I plan on buying it as soon as possible and I wanted to know if I can transfer the save file.

I also wanted to know if I can join Pokemon tournaments with a bought game but with the old save file and a CFW 3DS, I'm sorry if the answers are obvious but I just wanted to be sure before doing anything bad, thank you a lot!

Yes, use JKSM.

Yes, they may check your console for signs of CFW so try to hide it (I think there's a Luma stealth build available).

JKSM or any save manager. I think the official Nintendo DST function might work. I think you have to make a new save in the game to replace the old one first.

So, JKSM-find your game-create the backup of the save-get the new game-create a new save in the new game-JKSM-replace the new save with the old save.

You shouldn't have problems joining games unless you've done something ban-worthy, i.e. you got caught hacking on one game and restored the save from the banned game. The only other problem might be if there are no tournaments going on.
