I finally took the plunge and got a vpn, now my download manager won't download. Is there some setting I need to change for it to work, or a suggested download manager that works with vpns?

I don't know what you use, but I prefer jdownloader 2, works great with a vpn in my experience and is free
I got NordVPN, using Free Download Manager,also tried Internet Download Manager. After some testing, It seems that copying links from TorBrowser results in an error, but the same links worked when copied from Firefox. Also for whatever reason, Amazon no longer wants to load in Firefox, even though I'm not using it with my VPN
