ROM Hack Download All Cheats from max-cheats (Bash Shell Script)

Here is a simple script which will parse all the regions from max-cheats loading all the pages for each one grabbing all of the cheats available. It grabs the Title ID and Build ID for each one and places the cheats files in a directory structure based on the requirements for SX OS. When I ran it earlier today it loaded 217 different cheat files for 97 titles with a total of 853 cheats.

Note: script is included as a file, couldn't inline the script due to url like content in the script with my current user privs.

So basically for what i have read i have to install a program to run in windows to load linux to paste the .txt and with that i will be able to donwload the entire max cheats database cheat , right ?

If you have Windows you could try my Windows Version. I used the original script by detain. Just combined my files into one file with BoxedApp.

Hey @DaBlackDeath i try to use it first i got a ,essage of wrong destination folder and the a warning and inmidiate delete of the file with the message Win32:Malware-Gen

On linux type in terminal ./name of script
Replace name of script with the script name

Could be an error of boxedapp settings I've used.

strange, I have this sh.exe from an old winbash archive.
Try a search on google for WinBash or something like that (I cannot remember the real filename) and you should find it.

Hi you can create an new empty textfile and paste :

sh download_sxos_cheats.sh

Then save it as ex. Download Cheats.bat
Put your Download Cheats.bat File in the same Folder as download_sxos_cheats.sh.
When you execute your Download Cheats.bat File it will create a sxos Folder and download the latest Cheats.

The file in post 1 has an additional .txt ending which you might not see if you have file extensions hidden

Then save it as ex. Download Cheats.bat
Put your Download Cheats.bat File in the same Folder as download_sxos_cheats.sh.
When you execute your Download Cheats.bat File it will create a sxos Folder and download the latest Cheats.

Now ive got this :

I would never wish to do sudo on a sh file if I don't have too
