is there any way to downgrade from 10.6?? i totally fucked up and updated my console. >.>

My console is a virgin, just formatted. I bought it from another user, used, but not unlocked.

There is, but you need to hardmod your 3ds to do it.

This is the tutorial explaining what do you have to do to downgrade from 10.6 to 10.2. The next step would be running sysupdater.

Depending on what kind of 3ds you have (new, old, xl...) may be more or less difficult to solder the required wires to the board of your 3ds.
It's risky if you don't have some soldering skills.

You can check this list if you want someone to hardmod your 3ds

Sorry, I think there will be never a chance of downgrading from 10.6+ like it was in 10.3 without a hardmod any time soon

that's not true either, you can downgrade with a hard mod without the nand.bin. I can't remember exactly but what you do is hard mod and then take out the 9.3+ nand.bin and then modify it.

That's not going to help if he has no entry points to hombrew channel since he updated to 10.6. You'll still need to get your hands on oothax or ninjahax or sky3ds to downgrade from 10.6

You can downgrade using oothax/menuhax now. There is a guide in the cfw section and I believe on the home page.
