Homebrew Downgrade Question: Is It Safe?

I've got a little question of my own. Say I softbrick after a unsuccessful downgrade, is it possible to update by cart after starting recovery mode? (the answer is probably no)
No, it isn't. The system shuts down once you exit.
im looking at how too's on youtube and everyone is using safesysupdater there
I always used PlaiSysUpdater since I heard reports of SafeSysUpdater freezing mid-process. I've downgraded both of my 3DSes and it went swimmingly.

Just download the zip of the update that you want from that ISO site (assuming you know what that is) and make sure it is the right model. Make a folder called "updates" on the root of your SD card and extract the files there. (If you are using a JPN n3DS and downgrading to 9.2 , delete "000400102002CA00.cia" or else you will brick)

No, you don't.

If you are on a new 3ds make sure it is for the new 3ds (should say new in the archive name) and if you are a north american console it is the right one.

Then install using PlaiSysUpdater (unless you really, really, really, really, want to use SafeSysUpdater, use PlaiSysUpdater)

Then launch PlaiSysUpdater w/ the HBL and pray it doesn't brick (usually they don't :p)

You do not download emuNAND files. Just follow the guide Plailect created and nothing less, nothing more, and you should be golden.
