Hacking Downgrade from 7.0 with NAND backup

Apparently if you update and have an emunand equal or below 6.1 it works.
It's the new TSEC firmware that messes up the 6.2 support
same principle should be correct for Rawnand restoration (below or equal to 6.1 should be fine)


If you have a nand dump from 6.1 or lower, try that

When restoring backups you need to restore both boot0/1 and the main backup, so if you don't have those make them in hekate

Yea, no. As long as your backup is full and working, restoring it will always work.

Well, I have the NAND backup and the boot 0/1
Will do a 7.0.0 backup and then restore the 6.2.0. let's see what happens.

got another question, I have my nand in parts, from 0 to 14 and Boot 0/1, it seems I backed up the raw nand, not the eMMC user or eMMC SYS... so I can't use it splitted?

You can, if you goto the hekate github page they have joiner scripts there. download them and run the one you need, this will make a singular rawnand.bin image

Nice! So will have to format to exFAT to restore the NAND... will be tedious but will report on if I was succesful or got a nice $300 paperweight

Yeah for restoring you need an exfat card, probably the only thing I recommend it for is the backup/restore of rawnand XD

TBH I was on the impression that you could use it splited or something, guess I was wrong.
Im thankful that at least we have this option...

I guess AutoRCM is a bit of saviour, then. Sweet.

There should be a must read somewhere telling people to activate AutoRCM before new firmware versions hit the system.

System updates remove autorcm.
