I have translated the names.They are in a file called CharaName.dat.The pointers are pretty straightforward, they are located before the start of string or text block if you prefer.
For instance: 05h voice 04h girl etc.
So I don't think there will be problems with the translation.
Here are the names I translated, In my opinion they seem to be translated correctly but it won't hurt if anyone that actually knows japanese unlike me did a quality check.

I wanted to do this ages ago but me and the translator are really lazy

anyway I wrote a quick script to rip the game text a while back. here's the entire game script i ripped ages ago last year in sjis. Some where i've got document with other things to trigger events and stuff but i think it's on an old machine somewhere
