OMG I specialise in this genre of music lol.

EDIT:

What you need is some Feeder!

Buck Rogers http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=kGPrCm1WTfA&...ature=rec-fresh
Just a Day http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ePAqsv7tCVI
Come Back Around http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=e2evhW8lM4g&...feature=related
Lost & Found http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=PzULdcTZ73A&...feature=related

Sugarcult - Memory http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ueMJQ5OAS-4
Sugarcult - Los Angeles http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=vATvNdMS-QM

One Republic - Mercy http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=8UTapSHGr6Q

I dunno if it's your style but it certainly is mine!

The national - mistaken for strangers
Interpol - Obstacle 1
The Wombats - Lets dance to Joy Division
The Kook - naive
Arcade fire - No cars go
Built to Spill - Carry the zero
Placebo - Every you every me
Modest Mouse - Dashboard
- Missed the Boat

These are my favorites. hope you like my list.

Aren't the Kooks a boyband like McFly? And as much as i like the Wombats, that song is in the wrong tone for this I reckon, maybe I should just keep it downbeat.

Added a Interpol song though.

Electric President - Insomnia
Cold War Kids - Hang Me Up To Dry
Vampire Weekend - A-Punk

Oh and you definitely need a Pavement song. Summer Babe or Trigger Cut

No not really lol

Feeder were the first band I ever saw, this was before they released an album. They were ok but I didn't like anything they did after the first album to be honest.

I'll add MBV (did think about their song "Sunday")

Will look into the other one.

Not quite my cup of tea Hadrian, but to pitch in a similar ball park:
Muse - Sing for Absolution (or something else off that album)
Jet - Look What You've Done
Incubus - Morning View might have a track or two that may be of interest.
Nine Inch Nails - Fragile
Maybe something by Placebo?
(and now I've thought about it some more, REM wouldn't be out of place either)

And this dig through the dustier side of my music collection has lead me to rediscover Sugar Ray - Every Morning, which is far too upbeat for this set but worth a mention

(as an aside the acoustic version of Sugarcult - Memory fits in better, though it's still a fair bit off.)

you can't have an indie CD without some TV on the Radio.

also, any Bright Eyes pre-Cassadaga (Lifted and Mirrors are the best albums).

hmmmm, what else....

The National are fantastic.

oh, and Two Gallants.

it's a code, donate to fund Bletchley Park

On topic: Check out some of Eight Legs stuff, I've been enjoying it recently

Okay then hmmm...

Jet - Are You Gonna Be My Girl
Primal Scream - Rocks/Get Your Rocks Off
The Fratellis - Chelsea Dagger
Stereophonics - Superman
Air Traffic - Shooting Star
Athlete - Hurricane
Feeder - Purple

about the Feeder song, it's a b-side back from their early days and I doubt you'll get it off the internet easily. I could send it to you if you want it's really good.

None of them are really in the sort of style or tone I'm going for.

Think I've got the Feeder song actually on this CD that was given away with Select Magazine once.

Showing me age.

I guess we have completely different styles in indie/alternative music then!

EDIT: last try lol

Muse - Hysteria
Muse - Time Is Running Out
Mexicolas - Come Clean
Seether - Fake It
