Im currently developing a program for managing your PSP with different tools in one cross-platform program. You might remeber me making PSPGameTools, and this is a successor to that.

Now i don't own a psp, so i don't know everything that might be useful, but my brother gave me a suggestion about a PSP Game Auto-Updater, and that does sound like it would be good, But i dont know any where to pull data from.

Is there a database somewhere that holds games most recent version?

edit: im also down for creating one if the community could contribute

from my experience using PSP (2000/slim model) before moving out to the PSVita.

The game updates are obtained through the XMB update (Hit Triangle on Selected Game and select "Update"). But some people use NPS (search it, not gonna provide links or some stuff that could get me banned) to get game updates for PSP games. and use isotool homebrew tool to update the game manually. or some people use the "GetUpdater" file on the isotool... but to be honest, getting the update links and other stuff is not my expertise.

but im not sure if you can do this on PC? but im not sure. but im just giving my thoughts here.

also, these Update files come with PBOOT.PBP. which contains lots of encrypted data and the updated eboot.bin version of the base game. thus if you have a EBOOT game (from PSN) and used a game with a PBOOT.PBP, the game will load the PBOOT.PBP instead of the base eboot.bin.

but if you have a ISO base game, the game will just load the ISO regularly, not applying DLC, thus isotool is needed to update the eboot.bin to use the DLC contents (this updates the eboot.bin to a latest version, but the eboot.bin will be decrypted)
