Hacking Does the R4i actually work on the DSi?

I was wondering if the R4 ultra actually works on the DSi?

If its the R4i (not ultra or III or any other name) then yes.

But note that all these new cards comming out can only play ds games and not any dsi ware games!

I wouldn't go purchasing any flash cart with the name R4 in it though as the original producers of the R4 are long gone and don't update there firmware any more, so any R4 named carts out there are clones/fakes which mostly use a hacked version of the original 1.18 firmware or a hacked ysmenu.

Best bet is to look on dealxtreme.com and compare all the new carts and see what everyone has to say in the reviews, also look right here at the review section

I have just ordered an ezflash vi which works on the new dsi but again won't run any of the dsi only software ( no cart will run dsi only software yet!)

Acekard 2i, DSTTi or Ezflash vi.
I would choose the acekard as it has a great menu and costs only $19 at dx.

Why does your title say R4i and your post says R4 Ultra? In any case I wouldn't touch either flash cartridges with a ten feet pole.

Yeah unfortunately the cards with R4 name will only be branded clones from the originals, due to the non-support as the team no longer exist.
