Homebrew Does the New 3ds still ship w/ 9.2

Hello, I just wanted to ask a question, does the New 3DS still ship with the 9.2 firmware? I am considering buying one that can be used for Gateway and Pokegen.

even some launch consoles came with 9.4, the 9.0-9.2 window was very small for n3DS consoles

I bought mine July of this year and it shipped with 9.6, if it helps any.

Using this thread, I went to about 7 different stores in total (3 Gamestops) before I found a 9.0 N3DS. Just gotta be a little persistent.
