My mSD reader works fine. I was a bit worried when people kept spouting "card readers included with flash carts always suck", but I realized that may just be the end user. It helps to know if your USB port is malfunctioning, as I have no problems in the 9+ months I've had it, I only had a problem when I plugged it into a problem USB port, so that wasn't even the reader at fault.

But, as the poster above me said, luck has a bit to do with it too...

well, all of my usb ports are working perfectly, the reader gets detected, but the microSD card doesn't get detected. Now I have a new SanDisk reader, works just fine for the past year.

The one that came with my Edge has been solid and fast, used for about a year. I bought a few acekards that had an almost identical reader, but they had no activity lights, speeds less then usb 2.0, complete junk.

Mine worked just fine for a year, after that it stopped reading the micro sd card.. Luck really plays a big part

sorry to be offtopic here too. it seems viruses now isn't appear on file like doc, folder, etc. but it also infected the picture. i have read this kind of virus somewhere. with an image editor, and some experience in programming, you can add a virus on picture file. this is a new generation of virus, because people only know that the virus only appear as a file (include picture as mask but only the icon).(try finding the owner of the picture and you see why). sorry if I were wrong.
