Misc Does local gaming pull N3DS Update?

Hey there,

I've got a N3DS XL Aus with no internet connection. (Not accepted any terms of use and not setup any wifi)
I am wondering if i could start a local download game on the N3ds with my girlfirend's 3DS XL which has already the newest EMUNAND 9.4 on it.

Or will it get the update from the other XL too?
