Hacking Does it work on European DS?

I'm selling my old R4 cartridge to a friend of mine and he lives in the Netherlands while I reside in the US. It's my understanding that it'll work so long as he loads it up with European roms. I wanted to double check though before I sold it to him so he doesn't end up paying shipping and then some for something he can't use.

Yes, DS Lite and DS Phat are not region locked

It'll work regardless. Even with US ROMs. The DS (not DSi/3DS) is completely region free.

I'm pretty sure the DSi is region free also. It's was DSiWare games that were region locked.

I believe some games with DSi enhancements are region locked, like Pokemon Black and White 2, but the system isn't.

Every DSi Ware/ DSi Enhanced game is region locked. But since the R4 can only play games in DS mode, it won't make a difference.

The DS is region free so the R4 works either on a european DS or an Japanese DS
