Does increasing wattage get more performance

I know the U series processors have dials in XTU the ajust the turbo boost wattage. So does in creaseing equal more performance in any way? Or will it just fry the processor?

From what I know, more performance requires more power, but it doesn't work the other way around. There's a fairly low cap. A computer will throttle itself to conserve power, and will go to Max when enough power is put into it, but more power won't make it go above max if that makes sense.
