Haven't looked into dsi firmware stuff, but with enough work its possible!
i just need some resources to learn how the nand is structured. If you could send me any then ill start working on it asap.

Hey, me too, i cant build homebrew just because i hate C families , even the pascal version is available, but its not as complete as C versions which used by devkitpro...
For me, i have idea making tools from my own experience
btw, what programming language you're using?
SignaPic DSi i made it because i found a thread about converting any JPGs tobe readable on Nintendo DSi, and it seems too hassle for ordinary people, so i made tools for it SignaPic YasUI i made it because i just wonder how if we can made a 'seamless' and super quick theme creator for YSMenu firmware, since making our own theme for firmware is fun ! NeatDS (sorry for the danger warning but i promise, this is just false positive) i made this tool because i want to tidy up my NDS collection, but im too lazy to rename them manually one by one, then how if i made a tool to automate the NDS collection files rename based on its Banner Text title?
i would totally use it, but drunkencoders website is gone and there are no tutorials so the library looks confusing. Ive tried to find documentation but idk where it is

there is so many homebrewer in this forum, why not you ask them for guide? i think its not too confusing to install devkitpro, and you can always ask on the devkitpro's forum. God if i was you, i will put all my wild imaginations about homebrew to the code

I have an o3dsxl but softbricked the home menu so I gave up on it and have just bought a dsi and am going to use it instead (I only really played DS games and not 3ds ones). I am going to hack it and ill see if there is anything I want for it
a short comment with ultimate effect , great idea man, i wonder this too !

I have no idea how easy it would be for you but could it be possible to add onto neatds or make a seperate software that does the same as neatds for gb/gbc/gba?

Gread idea, but i think you already know this, NeatDS work only relied to ROM's header right?
And the problem here is, GB, GBC and GBA ROM don't have 'neat' header like NDS ROM (and maybe 3DS ROM) do
So i need a complete database (at least an online API) to help me get the 'neat' name from given game code inside the GB, GBC or GBA ROM

I know this has been asked for previously, but you asked, so I'm answering.
I would like a ROM downloader, with pretty basic features
1. Set "homepage" with IP or hostname
2. Browse in text form, download selected ROM
3. Stable pretty GUI with coverflow, or differing methods of viewing ROMs.
4. Ability to pass NDS/DSI files to NDS-bootstrap or unlaunch directly
5. Download to SD/flashcard SD option
6. Cover art scraper.
I know the speed of the DSi isn't the greatest, uncompressed some games can be pretty big, and uncompressing jobs in between downloads or before ROM loading can be time consuming as well, but it would be a wonderful app no matter how slow the DSi modes network will go.

This exists in the form of DSOrganize, but without the fancy features.
I remember someone developing a homebrew that could download ROMs (or just homebrew!) but I don't know where it is now.
