Hardware Does a Nintendo Switch boot without display installed?

I want to make a dock only switch by creating a custom case etc.
Does the Switch still boot from being completely powered off when I remove the display?

You need only connected battery.
I had water damaged switch that started without a battery.
There is few resistors near BQ chip but i don't remember which one was bad.
I think just need to create pull-up signal from battery circuit.

@ds34, Did you ever finish this project? I’m curious what resistors you removed to make the console function without a battery.

I didn´t remove any resistor. It´s working even during a blackout xD
