Hello , ive been looking for a similar issue for the past 2 days and couldnt find anything that specific so I will ask right out.

I bought my first nintendo switch last week, I wanted to try out an early version and ivealrready instaled CFW and few NSP. (The switch was originaly bought in 2017)

Everything was going fine so far until I docked my switch to actually play it on the big screen yesterday and realised it only takes a few minutes before it starts to flicker a first time and then after that its a matter of seconds before it gets worst until most of the time it ends up loosing the signal until I lift the switch from the dock. Ive tried multiple hdmi cable , my samsung TV AND my two computer screen , 720p 480p rgb limit you name it ,I even swapped my dock with the dock from someone else who had this dock for 3 year with no issue and still the screen is flickering while docked

This is happening at any time (home menu, youtube playing games), but seems to happen faster while playing games

So now here is my question , only thing I would have to test would be the AC adapter but ive been told it wouldnt be like that if th AC was faulty. But we have to take in consideration that im new with all this and wondered if it had anything to do with my CFW set up , so via hekate i tried to boot with stock mode or even sysMMC and still have the same issue... so back to square one and im starting to think maybe something inside the switch would need some repair and if it would be worth it to hand it to a repair service :(

So if anyone think they can help or have a theory I would be glad to hear it

Im using atnosphere 0.15.0 and my firmware is 10.2.0

I checked yesterday as I though so , seemed kinda clean (maybe damaged?) Ill take an extra look after work with proper lighting, but i dont know how it could explain it runs smooth for 2-3 minutes and then it gets worst.

Cross test with other TVs, Docks, HDMI cables, heck even another switch for good measure.

    Oh and also this:

While I have no internal information/linkable source, I was told by a Samsung support agent that there has been an internal memo released and circulated about Switch compatibility issues with certain Samsung TVs (an unspecified 'quite wide range of devices'). In these cases, the Switch may outright refuse to connect to the TV's sources, may connect but flicker rapidly, etc. Firmware glitches seem to be the culprit. https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSw...ng_internal_memo_switch_compatibility_issues/

thank you for the info but as most of it stated in my original message , I do have a samsung TV but it was also tested on different monitor such as acer and toshiba , also tried a working dock from a friend , different hdmi cables , so these a pretty much ruled out sadly

I will try this out thank you
Edit: It doesn't fix the issue , also ive been chatting with nintendo support and been through some standard troubleshoot but nothing I havent already tried , they recommended to ship the switch for 6 weeks+ for repair IF they can fix it with repair fee, I will wait a little more to see if I could find the issue somehow , but thanks for your support.

Did you try another power adapter. It might be supplying enough to run it but dropping current or voltage. Plug straight into the wall as bad power strips can cause issues. I had a power strip cause issues with several devices before

This Fixed my issue , I wanted to try another AC adapter but the guy who sold it to me said it can't be the issue and even swapped the dock but didn't want to swap the AC.... but after your comment I went and bought another one and now it is working , no more flashes at all , thank you very much :toot::toot::toot:

EDIT: it hasnt fixed it finally , at first I though it did but it only lasted 30 minutes then it started to flash again just as before... As it lasted longer I bought a brand new AC adapter instead of the used one, but it didn't fix it either, so now ive bought the USB C 3.1 extender for the dock in case the dock was somehow making my switch overheat and it still doesnt work , ive tried another monitor , this time it was a Toshiba and still does the same thing so afterall I think my only resort would be to send it for repair :(
