I mean, it's literally called only fans so I assume the whole point is if you're into a particular person instead of random stuff.

It's not my kind of thing, but it seems to me like it could serve a purpose (it's exploitative but it's a voluntary service I guess). However, I do think at some point it becomes detrimental over pursuing actual real relationships.
