Or has Smash become that game you only play if and when a bunch of people come over to your house and want to play the game like it has for myself? Like, outside of DLC and when I'm out and about, I just don't find Ultimate to be all that compelling of a game to revisit once you've beaten the Spirits mode, unlocked all the characters, and maybe completed their Classic mode paths.

I'm just curious.

I love smash, but I'd be lying if I said I still play it frequently. It is still definitely the game we play with friends and stuff, but I've definitely burnt myself out of competitive and casual play. I'm currently playing some smaller single player games like Isaac Repentance

I love playing smash one a week or so, it's competitive scene is definitely fading becuase of world events and nintendo just being a trash company. It's a great game for all gamers, the button mashers, the casuals, and the comparatives. I'd say it still is a good community. I also just love modding the game and playing with friends.

Its the one game I consistently play... the other day a message popped up saying I played 7777 matches (ooph). I'll admit it was starting to get a little stale after having only mained Megaman from Wii U to Ultimate. Finally decided to switch it up awhile back and get pretty good with: Incineroar, Richter and Luigi. I wish they would fix the online tourney feature. I live in a big city and usually only get 8 bracket tourneys with 1-2 actual players the rest of which are usually CPU's.

Speaking of...GBAtemp should host another tourney...

I come back to this game often, quick 5 min match is always good option. Im with this franchise since beginning on n64, ultimate is amazing full of content. I think i never get rid of this game. If anyone likes n64 version, check Smash Remix mod its my childhood dream come true.

When I saw Smash Remix I was so excited. It ran flawlessly on my Everdrive V3. Had a buddy over that I have been friends with since I was 6 and we played the crap out of it. I’m stoked to see who they add next!

As for Smash Ultimate, to me it’s just a super accessible/ easy game to pick up and play a few rounds of either after work or on a day off. Sure the online could be better (Smash for Wii U arguably had better online) but I still enjoy it.

I’m down if anyone wants to pm me and setup an arena sometime.

I used to play it a lot online, but I got tired of the non-functioning online so I just stopped playing it.

its a good game to play with friends

too bad two of them are smash gods

I'm always playing it because I'm in the competitive scene. It really sucks to be in my shoes tbh. I can't play with my friends because I'm too good at it that they get bored and we don't get to spend time because of that. Competitive players are disgusting cancerious. Popular players are too full of it and treat you like shit especially when you beat them. Top players are nice to me though lol. Too much fighting in the smash community and it's disgusting. I lost friends and even Youtubers like Berd blocked me over smash bros. I'm close to leaving it tbh.

I tried it once from N64 and no interested at all for me. When MegaMan was introduced and I was excited. I played for a briefly and realized that it got bored easy so I lost interested. Don't liked it at all.

It's more a Nintendo Game I collect for its sake, much like Mario Kart.
As such, I'll always have those two Games with every Nintendo console they're released on.

I have few people in my Circle who are Gamers, let alone Nintendo Gamers, and the girls I date nowadays are into the Social Media Fashion World, because opposites attract.

So my collecting these Titles was never really to play with.

lol. with the discovery of how MODS work with ARCopolis

its like the ONLY game I play on the switch- I'm embarrassed to have logged 1000+ hours in it

Have you considered trying to use an emulator like RyujiNX? Because it has an online multiplayer function that essentially emulates the local wireless multiplayer mode, but over the Internet as opposed to whatever they use with actual Switches.

Failing that, and what would probably pull more people in when considering the hardware requirements to run both RyujiNX and Yuzu, would be to have one of the two emulators, and to just play with people over Parsec. It sure wouldn't be competitive, but if you're just looking to have some fun, Parsec is good enough to where even Maximilian Dood praised it last year during this whole mess of a pandemic.

Gotta ask tho, did you ever interact with ZeRO, or however he styled his name before everything happened last year? And has there ever been an encounter like the following in the scene?
