Hacking Do MicroSD cards work for the Gateway browser exploit?

Whenever I use the 4 gb SD card (came with the 3ds) to run the Gateway browser exploit (Launcher.dat in root and everything), it works perfectly fine. However, when I use a 16 gb microSD and put that in an SD adapter and use that to load the launcher.dat, I always receive and error code.

Do microSD cards just not work? Or do I have to go through some formatting shenanigans?

Yes, they work. Be sure to make a PRIMARY FAT32 partition on the MicroSD, as the 3DS won't see anything else. You can use a tool like this if you're on Windows to easily do this.

Where did you get the MicroSD card, and for how much? It may be a fake.
If its not a fake, be sure to select primary manually, like this, as this tool defaults to logical for removable storage.

I use a 32gb microSD in an adapter and it works. I formatted it to FAT32 on Windows.
