Hacking Do I need to use a Different SD Card?

I have bootmii installed as boot2
i am currently making a backup of my nand
After, Can I just put that on the computer and format the sd card and use it for other uses?
or do i need to get a different sd card

You can just put the nand.bin on your pc and continue using that same card. If you still have more space on it you shouldn't NEED to format it if you're just using it for homebrew app purposes that don't take up much space at all, but if you need the space yes you can format it and put your old stuff back on it after backing up the nand.bin to your pc.

No, the nand.bin file is not tailored to the SD card, it will work on any SD card so feel free to use the SD card for something else, just make sure the nand.bin file is copied like 20 times on your computer and incase the computer dies on a flash drive and in case you lose the flash drive save it on a computer at a library somewhere.

okay it says backup successful but on my pc the nand.bin is 0 kb

Then I don't think it backed up properly. Did you skip the verifying process? If you did that may be the problem, so do it again and let it finish verifying completely. If not then it may be the SD card you're using and bootmii not liking it. In that case you may need to try a different sd card to back it up.
