Homebrew DJ \ MP3 Player?

I occasionally use my ipod to dj small gigs, and am trying to use my ds as a replacement. The problem I'm having is that moonshell makes a lot of clicking\popping noises as you navigate the interface. Can anyone suggest a better \ more dj oriented mp3 player? I tried downloading dscratch \ protein to play with them but the links on the guy's page are dead.


Oh, and I can't use LMP because it clicks when you browse between songs : ( If only there were some way to disable this)

You could download moonshel and take out all the sound files used for clicking and such.

Moonshell hangs slightly if you navigate folders while playing music, yes. I don't think there's any good way around that other than putting all the music in a single folder, which is not the most optimal solution, especially since it can also sometimes lag when simply scrolling down in the folder.

You could try DSorganize, though I personally have had it freeze several times when switching tracks.
