Gaming Dissidia Final Fantasy Games

I have obtained both Dissidia games and am wondering what the differences are. I hear that 012 contains the entire story of the first game too. Does this mean it is basically the first game with a second game added on with the first story improved? Is there anything I would miss out on by not playing Dissidia and going straight to 012? I heard that you could use your saved data from the first game to have all Dissidia 1 characters at level 100. Would not having the save data hinder my ability to get any of these characters?

If I had money, I would support all of my game system series that are awesome. I just scraped together the cash I needed for the PSP though. Maybe later on, you know, when UMD format doesn't suck.

how do you know nathan drake didnt make a backup of the disk he owns? i intend to buy it after i got a job
