My video, too bad I had horrible quality, no space left on MS for a 900MB video! D:

Watch on YouTube so it's better, a bit...

Or not...

Man, at the end I almost lost, I kept dodging, he almost hit me... And one hit would have killed me!

No offense to the people here, but I'm seriously starting to hate everyone that's doing Cloud vs. Sephiroth. WE GET IT. It's a fighting game with Cloud and Sephiroth in it. WE GET IT. You know, there's actually like 18 more characters in the game that are NOT Cloud and Sephiroth. I feel like I'm watching the same battle over and over. (This is the number 1 reason why I refuse to main neither Cloud nor Sephiroth)

Fixed.

I didn't intend to use either of them, but by the time you finish the story mode you need to pick a character to do the final stretch with. Cloud was my highest by three or four levels. He's just easy to use and a hard hitter. I mean as he leveled up I was ending fights within seconds usually. I have a great video to show but it contains spoilers.

Also War go back a few pages, I made a "How to play" video that's answered about two or three of the questions you've asked so far after it was posted.

What made Cloud so amazing was...The Omnislash V5. When you master one of his normal Brave attacks, it branches off and gains another HP Attack right after you do it. I know every character has their own but his is just so easy to hit with, and it's crazy strong.

Ah, nice video Gai. Yeah, I've pretty much gotten used to the battle system now, and the game is spectacular. The only thing I still haven't learned is the whole "leveling your skills" thing and branching them off and all that.

At the moment, I'm going through my second story arc, and I'm trying to unlock higher level caps for purchase so I can do the Exdeath trick.

You don't actually level the skills, you level your character up to get new skills. As you master attacks (Fill the AP Bar) then you grant branches of the attack, and the HP Versions of that attack. The only character I've leveled up enough to have an example is Cloud, so please don't shoot me. The first Air Brave attack he has. When you master that, it branches off into the Omnislash V5, which is an HP Attack. You'd do that Air Attack, and before you'd hit the third final hit you'd press square to do the branch HP Attack, the Omnislash V5. And it's crazy powerful. I also have a ground branch for him too.

Also the Exdeath trick...I couldn't quite get it. There's an even better way if you have a friend with a PSP - Abuse Versus Mode. You gain a ton of EXP from that mode. At the time Cloud (Please don't die!) was level 21, I was beating up my friend's Level 8 character, and I was still gaining a level every fight. And each fight lasted about 30 seconds tops. To the end even when I was in the 80s and 90s, and he was 20-something...I was still leveling every one or two fights. And I'd win in one hit for both fights.

The Villains don't get a story mode (yet), at first they can only be used in Quick Battle.
But after you clear the initial stories, you gain access to the Colosseum mode where you can use them in a proper mode.

Do you still gain experience for these characters in quick battle, or no?

@Gaisuto: (Sorry, quoting isn't working for me....) I'm going to my best friend's house next week for winter break, so I'll test out the battling and see how it works out. However, my best bet right now is the Exdeath trick. My only problem is that the max level cap I have gotten so far is 30, which doesn't net me much experience at all... but I think maybe the more story mode I do, the more level caps I will unlock.

For some reason i suck at using every character except Cloud and that Gunblade guy (Squall something i think). And i have no idea how to use the ability menu things, so i only equipped one new move.

Well I beat Firion's Odyssey but even though I beat it it still says 62% instead of 100%, still some stuff that need to be unlocked?
You're skipping chests and enemy fights. You need to clear em out completely.

As you level, the max level of your opponent rises too. I don't quite understand what you're talking about, rise them above the allowed limit?

The "Exdeath trick" requires you to buy "level caps". They can be bought in the System section of the PP store, and they raise the level cap of enemies that are fought in the free battle mode by 10. So let's say I'm trying to level up my level 5 Squall, and the strongest CPU I can fight is LV10. If I buy a LV +10 cap, Squall can fight a LV20 Exdeath. The max cap you can buy is +LV100, so technically, the max level for a CPU is like 105 or something. Sorry, I'm bad at explaining.

Basically, the whole point to buying the caps is that if you buy them, it will allow a LV1 character to fight a LV100 character, which normally isn't possible.

Thought so, I went back and played through it a little bit and it went up a little. Meh.

You know, out of all the characters I've played so far, I like Frionell the most. The only bad thing about him is his uber-slow HP attack, but I'm sure he gets a different one later on.... I may start leveling him.
