Hacking Displaying the wii u gamepad screen on a pc?

My gamepad screen is broken and I was wondering if anyone has gotten this to work?

If it does work could I get a simple guide on how run it?

You need Ubuntu, Python 2.7, and some extra libraries for Python. The source code is available here.
