Hey, I am doing a small project for school, and was wondering if it is possible, to produce a file which will display 2 images, one on the top screen one on the bottom. or if there is software available to do this. any help would be greatly apreciated, thanks

You have two options: some like moonshell or the new comic book viewer but I sense that is not what you are after.

Displaying images is one of the first things any programmer ususally tries on a system. Might I suggest one of the many tutorials over at GBAdev:

Assuming you have moonshell, you want to change the settings via shell>global
You want the image mode to be double screen and the vertical padding to be 0 pixels.
This will enable you to display two different images at the same time, on on the top screen and one on the bottom.

Your global.ini file should look like this after youve changed the settings.

ImageMode=1

DrawFileInfo=0

VerticalPadding=0

After you've changed these settings make sure you save the file.

Next open your two images in photoshop and resize them to 256 pixels wide and 192 pixels high.
Stack them on top of each other in another file to create an image that is 256 wide by 384 pixels high.
Save it as a jpeg and stick it on your flashcart.

If you open this image in moonshell at 100% both your images will be displayed at once, one on the top screen and one on the bottom.
