Hacking Disk Read Error

Ok, im starting to get irritated now. I've wasted 7 dvds trying to get this game to work. So any suggestions would be helpful. I'm burning Tales of Symphonia dawn of the new world. The game worked at first until first boss fight then DRE. Restarted and made it a little further then another DRE. Every once in a while i keep getting another DRE. Now i cant even get to the opening screen most of the time without one, and i cant even get it to run now >_>.

I'm using DVD+R verbatim dvd's. I have an LG internal super multi dvd rewriter. I'm using imgburn. I have tried burning at 1x 2x 4x 6x 16x speeds.

All of my other burned games are working.

Did you change the booktype to dvd-r?

I kept getting the dre with mario galaxy. Wasted 6 memorex dvd-r trying to make a backup (buring at different speeds with nero and imgburn). Bought a 10 pack of verbatim dvd-r, burnt at 2x with nero and it loaded first time.

My suggestion: buy verbatim dvd-r.

I havent changed anything, i've been using the same disks. And MP8 Twilight princess, Mario Kart, PBR, and Mario strikers all work fine, never had a bad burn or a disk read error. And they do still all work fine.

This is my first problem with a game so idk

If it matters at all im using a D2Ckey with a clip

IDK what all this "media type" fuss is all about... I mean, come on... Does it really make a difference? I use TESCO BRAND DVD+Rs without changing the booktype or anything and never had a coaster!

IDK if the chip might have anything to do with it but i doubt it.

I've been using Platinum DVD-R's for all my backups and none has failed yet.
In general i would say -R is much prefered over +R

With the exception of this game none of my DVD+R's have messed up. If it comes down to it i will buy dvd-r's i dont think it'll help, but i'd at least have some more dvd's
