Hacking Disk Channel cannot read discs (genuine or back up), but...

I'm having this problem since some months ago.

My Wii is a modded one (D2CKey) with 4.2u.

I belive that since a installed some Cios (I don't really know; I don't remember) the Disc Channel stopped working. I still could play all my games just fine, but using Gecko app on the Homebrew Channel.

But this is annoying. I wanted to play games on the Disc Channel. So today I formated my Wii in order to make the Disc Channel work again and... I didn't work at all. Even after this. LOL.

So I installed again the HBC using BootMii and, again, I can play all my games (old or new, genuine or back up) but the Disc Channel is still not working. In fact, it worked once with RE:UC... But just once. I tested it again and it didn't work. LOL.

So, anyone has an idea about how to fix this? As I said, I can play games, but just using Homebrew.

Not being able to play games on the Disc Channel is annoying me. I want to try to do something, but if it's not possible, I think that I will sell this console and buy something else. LOL.

Was that "some cios" some form of cioscorp - you have some very odd IOSes trucha bugged.
Oh and did you upgrade the system menu? - 4.2 will not play out of region games via the disc channel for hardmodded wiis, unless you have some form of priiloader hack. Formatting your wii simply wiped out your game saves and not much else.
