since there is not safely remove for it, should we disable the LAN that it made everytime we want to disconnect it? or its ok just to take it out?
since its connecting, its ON and getting hot, if there is a way to turn it off, it would be good too.

You are using the software that comes with it right? The registration tool should have an icon in the notification area (bottom right, near the clock). Right click it and stop the USB dongle from there.

If you are using Windows NT or above, there will be no problems with simply disconnecting a USB device. Tis that simple.

And about overheating, I say to not worry. Those things are made to deal with the warmth, so there should be no problems.

Now, start to worry if it gets over 55C (~130F)

My nephew has the dongle on a WinXP system. He always just yanks it when he's done with it. Hasn't failed him yet.

I got rid of my dongle as it kept overheating and stopped working.
Had to pull it out and let it cool down for a while before using it again.
Definitely better off now I have a wireless broadband router - just have to make sure it has WEP for the DS.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
