Hacking Disc Lock Ups on Start - but why?

Hi,

I have a wiikey and like provided in the Compatiblity List some NTSC-J Games lock up on load and won't boot on my Wii. So now I am interested in why this is happening. I have no Idea why some Games work and others don't.

Could somebody explain to me (if possible in detail) why some games lock up on load and others won't? What are the technical details for this "lock up"? Is there some good Information on the Net on this topic?

(This is by no means a posting like, why can't i play game XY)
