Good morning from lower slower DE, question; Is there a way to permanently disable WIFI on the Nintendo Switch? I do not want one of the kids accidentally connecting to a network. I am not worried about being banned as much as I am the obsessive nags to update the titles. On a previous setup I tried 90DNS but it requires you run after each new network is located. While 90DNS did keep me out of the ESHOP and offline of sorts, my console still caught the data that creates the update nag at the launch of each title.

Update nag is built into the fw itself for each game

That is what they say, but it's simply not the case. I have wiped and restarted our consoles after they were receiving the nag. Upon setting everything back up as I did before without joining a WIFI network there is NO nag. I haven't seen the nag even one time launching 20+ many of which are not on the current version.

I am trying to focus on disabling WIFI. As for removing the NAG I tried two methods unsuccessfully I recall one was within Goldleaf. I found it to work on older versions of Atmosphere but was unsuccessful on the most current version.

Illinois is working to ban toxic food additives that have been banned for decades in other countries; additives that can be replaced and all those countries still have Skittles and Mountain Dew. Title of the piece: GUBMINT WANTS TO TAKE AWAY YOUR CANDY

Gee, I wonder if the author is biased?

@Veho, Sounds and smells like bullshit. They don't give you cancer, and California should know that. I don't get why they stick labels that say "may or may not cause reproductive harm or cancer".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Arsenic doesn't give you cancer either.

California has already banned those additives BTW.

Mame should be two sets one for preservation of everything and one set for people who just want to play and enjoy the old old ganes
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Psionic Roshambo, Shouldn't preservation be legal tho?

@Psionic Roshambo, Believe Japan was going to make it legal at some point, according to a Kotaku story.

@Psionic Roshambo, There's a lot of obscure Japanese arcade titles that are either lost to time or dumped.

It's so unfair, maybe AI can save us lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean if a company could use AI to do the work of a home conversion for essentially free why not? The rights for some games are completely lost though
