Homebrew Question Disable automatic screen dim?

Is there a way to disable the automatic screen dim that happens when in handheld mode? To be clear, I'm not talking about the screen dim in docked mode - regardless of the TV settings, the screen always dims after 3 or so minutes in handheld mode, which happens a lot in games with moderately long cutscenes, like Deadly Premonition or Three Houses.

Sadly I don't think there is a way.

What I do is just place my thumb at the edge of the screen. I haven't come across a game that used touch input for skipping cut scenes and since you don't need to like place your thumb over the screen you aren't covering anything either.
