NOTE: THIS SOFTWARE CAN DAMAGE YOUR WII CONSOLE. USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Dop-IOS has been tested succesfully in some consoles. But I'm not responsible of any damage it could cause.
It's recommended to have a NAND copy with BootMii.

Dop-IOS is a very quick modification to tona's shop installer. It allows
you to download any IOS and apply the trucha bug patch.

This software will be useful for those with modchip who want 4.0 features
and still want trucha games on disc channel.
Pikmin 2 (and other newer games like Punch Out) have 3.4 update. If you
update with the disc or by internet, it updates IOS to their newest
versions (trucha fixed).

Usage:
*Make sure you have a cIOS installed on 249
*Update to 3.4 (through game disc) or 4.0 (through Wii configuration menu)
*Run Dop-IOS
*Dop IOS60 if you are now on 4.0, or IOS50 if you are on 3.4
*Dop IOS36 (for Smash Bros. Brawl and other Nintendo games)
*Dop IOS21 (for third-party games like No More Heroes or Dragon Ball Z Tenkaichi 3)

Now newest games will not ask for update and you will be able to play trucha
games on your 3.4/4.0!

NOTE: If you updated through Waninkoko's method this won't work and Pikmin
2 will still ask you for an update. You must update through Wii configuration
menu in order to get latest IOS versions.

Features
* Download any IOS from Nintendo servers
* Select between oldest version or newest version of any IOS
* You can apply the signature hash check ([[Signing_bug|trucha]]) again
* You can also apply ES_Identify function patch to IOS36 (useful for [[AnyTitle Deleter]] and >3.4 users)
* Protection: you cannot install stubs. You could get a brick if you install an stub IOS that your System Menu uses. If you want them, just update through Wii menu or disc.
* Stores files on SD: you can reuse all your downloaded IOS with Dop-IOS or another application.
* Shows your IOS versions

Version 6 features
* Added support for IOS57.
* Cleaner code.

Version 7 features
* Fixed 'IOS62' bug.
* Added IOS56 (WiiSpeak channel users only).
* Added short descriptions to IOS selection.

This readme file was written on July 2009, latest version of Wii firmware was 4.1.
It can be (more) dangerous to use Dop-IOS when Nintendo releases a new version.
Be careful.

i was thinking the same, the dip module is for playing backups, so what has that to do with trucha?
I never talked about DIP module! The app description never mentions it.

Dip!=DIP
I did not want to confuse people, so maybe I'll change its name.

Icefire's updater already does this, for every IOS and it patches the system menu version to a lower version.
Yes. But you can choose the IOS you want with this one. Maybe there are people not interested on updating to 4.0. The main objective of this application is not updating (you can do it through disc, it will be always safer), it's reinstalling IOS. If someone updated through disc, he/she doesn't have to reinstall all IOS, just the only ones he/she is going to need.
And it's also very easy to adapt it to new IOS released by Ninty in a future.
And I have plans to add a version selector to it, so you can install any IOS version.
QUOTE(WiiPower @ May 20 2009, 10:42 PM) Call it dpi, download, patch and install. Which is what is acutally really does, i guess.
Nice idea

if it uses tonas shopinstaller which is based on patchmii, he has to release the sources ->

People come up with ideas (and code) to make this into a useful product for end-users — a custom-updater program, or whatever. The license on this code (GPLv2) allows you to take this code and turn it into your own program under your own name, as long as you release the source code — but I would like to work with you to coordinate features and functionality.

Could you stop that? The source is integrated, i checked that, i would get very angry if somebody violates the GPL.
