Is there a guide for Dios Mios installation? I'd prefer it to be Dios Mios, not Dios Mios Lite.

The only guides I can find are outdated, and I'm not sure if they still apply now.

I'm sorry for being really bothersome.
It is
fairly easy.
Just install the .wad file
that you get with the dios mios package
and make sure you're using
a recent USB Loader that supports Dios Mios.

I've already installed it, but I'm looking for further information. I just can't get it to run GameCube games at all.

Edit:
I got the game to work... but not the way I expected it to.

The game that I dumped is Doubutsu no Mori e+. I've tried loading DoubutsuNoMori.iso by putting a random game disc in the DVD drive, but I get the "apploader" error. Then, I put the actual Doubutsu no Mori e+ disc in the DVD drive, and loaded the DoubutsuNoMori.iso, and it finally worked.

What is this? Is that how it works? You can only play a backup if you put the actual copy in the DVD drive?
This is ridiculous. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

So, when you use a loader like configloader (for example) ... I can just put the .iso files in the same folder as my current Wii .wbfs files and the loader will see them ? Also, do the loaders get cover art for GC games as well ?

Can't now remember if I still have a GC controller :D Or does the Wii 'classic controller' (the one you connect to the Wiimote) work for GC stuff ?

Do you know which versionof DIOS MIOS (Lite) you installed?
1.5, 2.0, 2.2 ?

Do you know which version of the loader you are using? You need the latest beta, not the latest stable release. You need one with the option to select the version of DIOS MIOS (Lite) that you want to use.
If you install DM v2.2, then in the loader you need to specify that you are using 2.2 too. If you don't match the version then it will try to boot from the disc instead of the ISO.

No, it's not the same folder.
Please, read more information on How to setup and use DIOS MIOS (Lite), there are a lot of topic about it, even this very one that you are reading has a lot of information. Read the stikied topic, read the one in the FAQ sections.

Yes, you can download covers for GC games too (might depend on the loader though).

You need a GC controller to play GC games in GC mode.

If you want to use another controller, then the console need to be in Wii mode, and the only loader doing it is Devolution, not DIOS MIOS.
But it's not implemented yet.

I have DIOS MIOS 2.2. I haven't installed any DIOS MIOS or DIOS MIOS Lite version before.

I'm also using Configurable USB Loader v70 (mod r36). I tried using the option for loading DM (not DML), but that's not working.

You need to specify in the loader which version of DIOS MIOS you have installed.
It's not auto detected.
If you don't specify the correct version, then it's trying to boot the disc instead of the iso.
That's why you need the latest revision of the loaders (GX, cfg, Wiiflow, Booter) where that setting with the DM version can be selected by the user.

Oh wow, it worked :D Thanks for the link. I didn't know this existed.

I've already been doing that. But thank you so much, you've helped me a lot! You don't know how great you are :D

I'm relieved I don't have to use my actual Japanese disc. It's really expensive :P

dios mios lite worked perfect, i formated my harddrive to fat32, transfered my games from my sd to hdd. My wii games work perfect under the new formated harddrive it was previously wbfs but besides the point.

i installed dios mios 2.2 and when i went to boot my gc games it froze at the boot screen with ( fatal error: apploader size is zero )
i installed a custom verson of bc v6 with .00000008.app from the dios mios page. now the wii just shits off when i attempt to boot gc
i installed the origanal bc v6 and downloaded r37 beta 9 you have just provided, now it just freezes at the dios mios boot screen.
i have set it for 2.2+ in the options and nothing i do works. should i just wait for the new update or is their a way to fix this.?

I didn't install .00000008.app at all.

The only thing that made it work for me was installing DIOS MIOS 2.2 and Configurable USB Loader r37 beta 9. I don't think that .app file was necessary.

I have reinstalled bc v6 ether way and reverted it back orignal.
