A NGC controller works just like a Classic Controller, but it feels like a Snes controller with analogue sticks and two sets of shoulder buttons (just like a PSX/PS2 controller).

I don't blame crediar for not supporting the classic controller, as he most probably has an old launch Wii Console and prefers to play with the NGC controller more than the Classic Controller. Well... That's my theory, anyway.

If you want Classic Controller support, my advice is to either be patient and wait for devolution to be released or donate to have it added to DML (not excluding DM). It might persuade him... If enough people request it, especailly those who have a newer model without Memory Card slots and Controller Ports.

Why you shouldn't be allowed to donate to have alternative controllers support for DIOS MIOS.Did say crediar anything about that topic? If he could add CC support for DML he also would be able to add it for DM or not?

Although there's little to go on at the moment, the prospect of two homebrew Gamecube USB loaders is pretty exciting.

WODE has been available for a few years now and it's a pretty good hardware solution; but doesn't support audio streaming. A software-based GC USB loader with full audio streaming support would be a dream come true for a lot of Gamecube fans, allowing both Wii and GC games on a USB drive. SD loading is fine, but USB loading is better, IMO.
It doesn't really matter because an SD card is just generally smaller. And not everyone has an external drive (though I wish). Just get a 16/32 GB card.

you can get a 32 gb flash drive for around as much as a 32 gb sd card. So unless you are gonna be using the sd card for a camera as well, it seems USB would be the superior option (assuming dios mios will have similar compatibility as dml)

There really is no "superior option". People buy an sd card or usb drive to what best suits their needs. Everyone has a different set up.

there is a "superior option". if your goal is storage for games to play on your Wii, usb would support all your homebrew and games. this is, of course assuming, that dios mios will actually work.

Yea and if your goal is to just play a few of your gamecube games from your Wii then you wouldnt need some fat ass 1tb hard drive. There isn't a perfect option its to what best suits peoples needs. If someone only wants to play gamecube games on their Wii and they only have a select few, the SD card would be the better choice. Just one of the many examples. I really can't believe you are actually trying to argue about this right now.
"this is, of course assuming, that dios mios will actually work."
And wtf is this. You see a video of it actually working. Of course it fucking works. The only question is how many games work and if it will be released.

The "superiority" of an option depends solely on an individual's needs. If one person has a 32GB SDHC card and two GC games they want to play, SD loading is perfectly sufficient without them having to purchase a USB drive. If another person has a 500GB USB HDD they already use for other Wii related stuff, and only have a 512MB SD card, USB loading is better for them. It is completely dependent on an individual's needs/wants.
thats basicaly what i just said dude...

Um no its not. You said there is a superior option he said the superior option depends on someones needs. He said it could be sd card or usb you said its usb. 2 completely different things.

By the way... I was meant to say, "including DM" instead of "not excluding DM".

DML has always relied on donations, it's a way of motivation for some developers who can't be bothered to either add new or enhance already existing features to the project.

I read that, crediar can't be bothered to add classic controller support and we won't be seeing it anytime soon.

There's two solutions, either "persuade" him to add support for it or wait patiently for Devolution to be released which should hopefully have Classic Controller support (despite the AP protection).

I'm not too worried about CC support.
If you have a new Wii with no GC ports, send it to DeadlyFoez to have them added on for you at a small price lol.
If you have no GC controllers, buy them off amazon or ebay.

You really think DeadlyFoez has a large number of those ready to solder in?
Even if he isn't asking much, if you calculate in the shipping costs, it's not a very attractive alternative.

As explained before already, CC support will require a bluetooth stack on top of the usb stack.
Even getting the usb stack running has long been considered as nearly impossible.
Adding a bluetooth stack is even more a challenge. It doesn't suprise me Crediar isn't very interested in doing it,
and I doubt donating will quickly change that.

That is definitely not a issue of any sort. It looks like that someone sucking up to crediar. lmao :L

Seriously though, Come on... it isn't like DML is 100% perfect. :/

Like I said, you can get a 32gb flashdrive around the same price as an sd card. so use it to store some wii games, store some gamecube games, and look - you did 2 things with one storage device. sounds better, huh

oh and you have a couple games working...from sneek. you have no idea how this will work. when I said "if this works" i meant if it works well enough for daily use/preferred over DML

"Part of my Wii"
An Ode for Dios Mios by Foxi4
Look at those games...
Aren't they neat?
Wouldn't you think my collection's complete?
Wouldn't you think I'm the guy
The guy who has everything?
Look at this gaming trove!
Treasures untold!
How many games can one cavern hold?
Looking around here you think
Sure, he's got everything
I've got gadgets and gizmos a-plenty
I've got whozits and whatzits galore
You want consoles?
I've got plenty!
But who cares?
No big deal...
I want more!
I wanna be where the Gamecube games are.
I wanna see, wanna see them loadin'.
Playing non-stop from that - what do you call 'it?
Oh - HDD!
Flippin' the discs, you don't get too far.
Hard Drives are required for fast loading, saving...
Strolling along down a - what's that word again?
ISO list!
USB's where they launch, USB's where they rock...
USB's where they load with no slow-down when I want!
Completely free - I wish Dios Mios could be...
A part of my Wii!
What would I give if I could load from of these ports?
What would I pay to spend a day without swapping discs?
Bet'cha in Homebrew Land they understand.
That they don't reprimand their fans.
Proper fans sick of swappin'.
Ready to play!
And ready to know what the coders know.
Ask 'em my questions and get some answers.
What's a protocol and why does it - what's the word?
Work?
When's it our turn?
Wouldn't I love, love to explore those ISO's I've got?
From the HDD...
I wish it could be...
Part of my Wii...

You are a noob who has no idea what you are talking about and are quite annoying.
A 32gb SD Card can load Wii games and GC games off it as well.
USB Loaders (GX, CFG, ect) are also SD loaders. Only right now, there is no GC USB Loader, just a SD Loader.
"Oh and look you can do the same thing with a SD Card that you can with a USB Device, sounds better huh?" No it doesn't sound fucking better. It may or may not, just depends on your current set up. The only way anything sounds better is that right now we have a GC SD Loader and not a USB GC Loader.

And Sneek is not required to use DML you can use it from Neogamma and a couple other loaders from your real nand.
And if you actually did a little bit of research, if you check back on page 3:
So compatibility is the same, not sure what you meant by daily use but there you go.

Whoa, this is exciting!
I see this greatly reduces loading times (at least my load times were kind-of slow)

I can't wait for when/if it will be released :D
also, according to crediar, compatibility is same as DML current version.

It sounds better for more reasons than just that - a USB port is generally faster than the SD port, it would offer better sound streaming which is currently crippling the SD version on which it is rather sluggish.

Moreover, a USB HDD has a way higher capacity than an SD card and it's easier and cheaper to obtain than a high-class large SD card.

All in all, USB > SD anytime.

Agreed. An advantage of SD/SDHC is no moving parts, less things to go wrong, but it does use flash which does wear out. But then so do HDDs, but they are a lot cheaper per GB per dollar/Euro. Hope it gets released soon.

You don't need a high-class sd card.
I have a 16gb class 4 micro sd card that I bought for 15$ new.
It doesn't show any difference in loading times compared to my USB Drive. And even if it did we are talking milliseconds or barely even a second that doesn't make a difference.
And I haven't noticed any "sluggish sound streaming" on the DML with the games I have tested. And these problems are related to DML's compatibility not the SD Card. Unless you have a really slow SD Card and its not formatted to 64kb clusters.

Streaming audio is sluggish and has nothing to do with the compatibility, Crediar himself stated that it's a matter of hardware limitations that he can do very little about. I have a class 8 SD which is far faster than your class 4 and I am *not* experiencing results even remotely comparable to USB loading. I don't know what kind of games you're loading but they sure as hell don't have audio streaming in them if you stand by your claim that the loading is just fine - it ain't fine.

Do some research on Class types of SD Cards. You would be surprised on what turns up . Lol I can record a video right now of Star Fox Assault, Super Smash Bros Melee, and a few others running at full speed, no audio slow down what so ever. If your SD Card is not formatted to the highest amount of clusters, I suggest doing that. It helps a lot.

The only time I have seen sluggish audio is when I used USB Gecko to load my GC games from my computer.
It has been some time since I have done that though and I am sure speeds and compatibility have improved there as well.
